River South Hockey State Champions

South's Hockey team became the Public A State Champs by beating Randolph 2-1 at the Prudential Center on Saturday March 13,
2010. The unranked and low seeded South won the game with only 10 shots on goal, with Randolph having 47 shots.
Pat Kearney stopped 46 shots.

road to the Championship:
They
beat Roxbury March 2, 2010 by a score of 4-1.
Then
they outscored the #1 seed in the State Playoffs, Morris Knolls, 3-1, on March 4, 2010.

6, 2010 they knocked off #8 Morristown by a score of 5-3.
March
9, 2010 they eliminated #4 Brick Memorial 4-3.
March
13, 2010, they took the State Title 2-1 vs #3 Randolph.
The
Beachwood Street Devils would like to congratulate the Toms River South High School
Hockey team, and "Captain" Geoffrey Hannon, for winning the Shore Conference Championship. The Indians beat Southern
Regional by a score of 5-3 at the Winding River Skate Center on Feb. 26, 2010, to take the Dowd Cup.
